Hey everyone!!!!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!! Sorry that there aren't too many pictures this week. We've been really focused on the work like CRAZY! We were planning on having 17 baptisms this coming Saturday but it's looking more like around 10. We had 10 at church but  people we thought would come didn't. Oh well.  Our lessons and amount of investigators have been steadily increasing. I now have a strong testimony that the Lord answers our prayers especially when we faithfully fast. But fasting and prayers work according to our desires and our will.  The Lord is greatly blessing us here in Tafara.

So now, story time. This week our house was broken into. On the Sabbath. Someone stole our iron and 2 cell phones. Not cool. But the Lord refines his people with fire even through evil and conspiring men. Also this week we had this guy tell us how he was baptized. The priest dipped his hand into water (after swearing some statement) and then placed his hand on his head and he was baptized. Satan is creative for sure. We've had a few people this week try to bash with us (grr) but all I do is humbly testify and teach using the Book of Mormon and try to convince them through the Spirit. My companion dominates their faith and PROVES them wrong using the bible. I love him so much. He has a bit of a temper so when someone brings up the Trinity, well, things get hard but he's an amazing teacher. He likes convincing others that Jesus is the Christ and that this is his true church. If they like it or not. But yeah. Life is going great.  I would love to hear from you all. I could really use some uplifting. Just hearing about your weeks help mine go better. But I know most don't read this so, eh, it's ok. But I do love you all and I do hope all is going well.

Cooking it old school

HEY EVERYONE!!!!!

So this week has been amazing. First and foremost, we had 2 baptisms A father (James) and his son (Tadiwa). So happy. Second (for all you South Africans and Africans) I heard a child say "Voetsek mama!" (Screw you mom!). This week we had some intresting times for sure. We had a Braai Saturday and it was a blast. We had Steak and Sweet Potato Chips (fries). Awesome braai. We also had a MASSIVE amounts of lessons and Investigators. The Lord is greatly blessing us in Tafara. But this week we got to work more in Bho-bho (a VERY poor village near tafara). Some of the homes are Plastic covered homes with a tin roof. Very humble. But the people there are more excepting of the gospel and the area around it is the epitome of African beauty. I'll try and get some pictures this week to show everyone. but really nothing crazy to write about as to we have been SWAMPED with teaching and so no really cool stories. Except that white people and fancy homes (tile floors, Plasma TV's, etc.)  are starting to really freak me out. I'm really feeling humbled by the people here and I love it. I love my Shona people and I love the culture here so much. But that's all I have this week and I hope everyone is doing well!!!
